Terry McDonald

Dear Elector,

I’m hoping you will remember me as Terry McDonald the Policeman, Jersey’s Firework Man and more recently the Rocketman.

As a child I had the support and encouragement of caring hard working parents and was educated at First Tower and Hautlieu schools. This stable background instilled me with a special sense of values, openness, honesty and accountability and inspired me to devote my life to serving this Island and its people.

I’m very much a people person and I have always tried to help and support those with disabilities of any sort, and those far less fortunate than me and for whatever reason.

My Rocketman saga lasted over 6 years but now I really do fully understand just what its like to have been short of money, unemployed and doubting your own self worth.

I came out of that a wiser and much stronger man but sadly much more mistrusting of people in authority. If elected, I would do everything humanly possible to prevent any similar injustice happening to anyone else if it was within my power to do so.

I have decided to stand as a Deputy in No 3 District because it is where I live and that has given me a greater knowledge and understanding of the problems which prevail and affect it.

I have a proven track record in business and am fortunate to be in a position to be able to commit myself to work for you and with you even though I am still operating Site Security Services Ltd.

All I would say to you is that my life really has been an open book and lots of things that I have been involved in over the years have been the subject of much publicity for one reason or another.

If you are looking for someone who is totally unafraid to fight his or your corner and at almost any cost then I could very possibly be the man who would be able to justify your vote.
